Bitter gourd (Karela) and Ambade
Ingredients
Bitter gourd (Karela)
Ambade around 5 -Crushed.
Jaggery .
Salrt to taste.
Coconut ½
Red chillies around 6.
Black gram dhal 1 tbsp.
Oil
Mustard 1 tbsp.
Curry leaves.
Method
Cook bitter gourd slices in water and then drain off water to remove bitterness.
Add jaggery, Ambade, Salt and water.
Cover and cook over low flame till soft.
Grind coconut grating along with chillies and black gram dhal to a coasrse paste.
Add masala to the cooked vegetables and bring to boil.
Season with mustard and curry leaves.
